ABC SARDINES BUMBU SERUNDENG GORENG KLG 155g

Forget the usual tomato-sauce sardines, this one is different: the fish comes coated in savory yellow serundeng spice and just needs a quick fry. Wonderfully practical, open the can, drain, then fry until golden and crisp. The result is crunchy outside, tender inside, with that familiar warmth of galangal and turmeric that makes a plate of hot rice disappear. Remember the days when this saved dinner on a lazy evening? It still does, paired with sambal terasi or tucked into a lunchbox, a little taste of home that never lets you down.
